I recently wrote my State Senator concerning the DHS labeling Veterans as possible targets for terrorists.. here is the reply:

Dear (HatedNation)

Thank you for contacting me to share your concerns regarding a recent report released by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regarding so-called “right-wing extremists”

Like you, I am greatly disturbed by this report. The whole idea of labeling persons who are veterans, conservatives, gun owners or religious as somehow a threat to the peace and safety of America, more than the leftists and secular, shows just how out of touch some of these folks are.

I am especially concerned that DHS has chosen to alienate our service members in this way. As a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committe, and having just returned from spending time with our men and women serving in combat, I am disturbed that DHS would label individuals as a possible risk simply because they have answered their nations call to duty. Over the years, great American patriots have made exceptional personal sacrifices and, in many cases, have laid down their lives in defense of our nation. Generations of Americans continue to commit themselves to our nation’s defense. As we move forward, I will continue to to support legislation that honors the sacrifices made by these warfighters, always with your thoughts in mind.

Thanks again for writing, please do not hesitate to contact me in the future with your comments and concerns.

Very truly yours,
Jeff Sessions
United Sates Senator

It is great that Sen. Sessions will say that he is aggravated and disagrees with the report, but I want to know about what actions he plans on taking. Actions speak louder than words Senator.

  2. Donna Fallis says:

I want to believe that our congressmen and women are listening to us, but there is so little indication that they have done anything to help us. We should all, citizen and politicians alike, be ashamed for allowing Obama and his administration even question what was done following the attacks on our country by terrorist. We shold all be ashamed that Napolitano had the guts to accuse the people of this nation of being terrorist, and we should be demanding resignations from those who seemingly spit in the face of everything American. By the same token, we should all be giving thanks, openly and without fear, to our fighting men and women for their service and sacrifice to this country. I hope that Senator Sessions realizes that you are just the tip of the iceberg and that those who attended tea parties, are jus the beginning of what is to come, if this administration continues on it’s course of destruction.
